Phoenix Rising is a fan-made Pokémon RPG that is developed using RPG Maker XP and the Pokémon Essentials engine. The game takes place in a new region called 'Hawthorne' and introduces various changes to the traditional main-series Pokémon gameplay formula. Additionally, it features numerous new features to enhance the overall gaming experience.
Let's Play Mode
The development team of Phoenix Rising has always aimed to deliver a complete PC gaming experience to its players. As fans of fan-made games, they understand the limitations of these games, primarily the small screen that occupies a fraction of the monitor. To address this issue, the team has introduced a new feature called "Let's Play Mode."
Inspired by Let's Players, who take advantage of the entire screen during gameplay, Phoenix Rising's Let's Play Mode offers a full-screen option. This mode includes several features that allow players to enjoy the game fully. The game screen is located at the center of the mode, and surrounding it are various GUI elements that assist players during gameplay. These elements include the current Pokémon in the player's party, their health and status, registered items and their corresponding button mappings, a region map to indicate the player's current location, and much more.
New Mega Evolutions & Formes
In addition to the gameplay changes and new features, Phoenix Rising introduces new Mega Evolutions and Formes. These additions enhance the game's strategy by offering new ways to evolve and transform Pokémon. Players can now explore more options when developing their teams and creating unique battle strategies.
