Description

A pre-patched version of Pokemon Fire Red Extended GBA ROM, created by DjTarma and based on FireRed, is available for download. The current version is v3.4.6.

Fire Red Gameplay

The features of Fire Red Extended:

• Pokemon from Generation 1 to 8, spanning Kanto to Galar.
• Custom levels for starter evolution.
• Ability to evolve certain Pokemon with a link cable.
• Blacked-out fonts for all in-game text.
• Updated HUD and layouts for a better gameplay experience.
• IVs, natural display, and PSS icons inserted.
• Unique events, although some legendary events are missing.
• Certain evolution methods that are specific to male or female Pokemon.
• Party-specific evolution, such as Remoraid evolving into Mantine when leveled up with Mantyke in the party.
• Advanced evolution guide included in the game file download.
• Custom wormhole system and sideway stairs graphics.
• Dive maps for more exploration, as well as some incomplete events.
• Revamped map graphics and custom battle background graphics.
• Advanced move tutor available for 2000$ in every PokeMart.
• Elite Four replaced with the Ultimate Pokemon League.
• Field moves available for use, including Cut, Fly, Surf, Strength, Flash, Rock Smash, Waterfall, Dive, Dig, Sweet Scent, Rock Climb, Headbutt, Drill Run, Bulldoze, Thief, and Growth.
• New fossil resurrection system available for Generation 1 to 8 fossils. Players can use Thief on Hikers or dig in certain maps to obtain fossils.
• Safari Zone expanded to 4000$, with no step count and 60 Safari Balls.

The latest version, v3.4.6, features a reworked Cinnabar Island Gym, leveled-up trainers in Viridian City Gym, and changes to maps, wild Pokemon spawns, and trainers' Pokemon levels. The common candies have been changed to Rare Candy, thanks to user reports. The Learnsets rework and puzzles for Legendary Pokemon events are still in development.
